{"id":1509,"date":"2026-05-17T20:45:13","date_gmt":"2026-05-17T17:45:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/surelab.tourem.aegean.gr\/?p=1509"},"modified":"2026-06-26T20:49:39","modified_gmt":"2026-06-26T17:49:39","slug":"educational-visit-todit-discovers-chios","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/surelab.tourem.aegean.gr\/en\/educational-visit-todit-discovers-chios\/","title":{"rendered":"EDUCATIONAL VISIT | TODIT Discovers Chios"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>SuReLab | Academic Research Laboratory \u2013 Laboratory for Sustainable and Resilient Regional and Tourism Development<\/strong> participated in the educational field visit organized by the <strong>Department of Tourism Economics and Management<\/strong> of the <strong>University of the Aegean<\/strong> to Kardamyla, Chios, which was successfully held on <strong>17 May 2026<\/strong>, within the framework of the initiative <em>\u201cTODIT Discovers Chios.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The activity was conducted following an invitation from the <strong>Women\u2019s Association \u201cFriends of the Chian Village\u201d<\/strong>, in collaboration with <strong>Dr. Maria P. Doumi<\/strong>, Associate Professor at the Department of Tourism Economics and Management and Director of SuReLab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the visit, students had the opportunity to explore Kardamyla firsthand, a place distinguished by its rich historical, maritime, and cultural heritage. They were also introduced to the work, initiatives, and contributions of local organizations dedicated to preserving and promoting the area\u2019s cultural legacy.
